His own experiences with depression, anxiety and addiction – and recovery therefrom – have led him to take an active role in the mental health and wellbeing space, both within his own workplace and externally.

In 2019 he was voted ‘Inclusion Champion of the Year’ by his colleagues across Aon UK.

Kalpesh Shah - Chair

Kalpesh has worked in the Insurance Industry for over 20 year, primarily in senior Finance roles, but also covering Underwriting Services, Actuarial, Business Planning and Business Strategy/Development. Kalpesh has previously been a school governor and currently sits on a number of Insurance Industry committees (Finance, Diversity & Inclusion and Mental Health & Wellbeing). He is an advocate of people talking, sharing their own experiences and sharing ideas, whether in the workplace or society in general. He is a strong believer in collaborating to help change.

Before diving into finance, Nico worked in events management, mastering the art of organization and coordination.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Nico is passionate about diversity and inclusion. He firmly believes that every community deserves representation across industries. With this belief as his guiding principle, Nico is dedicated to driving positive change and fostering inclusivity wherever he goes.
